Commercial Ice Makers and Equipment

Shop commercial ice makers and the equipment that completes your setup, from modular ice machine heads and undercounter units to storage bins, water filters and accessories. Compare Hoshizaki, Scotsman, Manitowoc, Ice-O-Matic, ICETRO America and ITV Ice Makers. Use the filters to narrow your choices by ice type, daily production, cooling system and brand, then check the installation requirements for your space.

An informational comparison chart titled 'Shop Ice Machines by Type' with six numbered panels showing different ice machine types: Undercounter Ice Makers, Modular Ice Machines, Nugget Ice Machines, Cube Ice Machines, Flake & Chip & Granular Ice Machines, and Ice & Water Dispensers. Each panel includes a photo of the machine, descriptive text, and a blue icon.
Choose your ice machine format

Undercounter ice makers

Undercounter ice makers combine ice production and storage in one cabinet. Start here for a bar, café or service station where staff need ice within reach. Compare the complete installed height, bin capacity and ventilation clearances; cabinet width alone does not tell you whether a machine will fit.

Modular ice machine heads

A modular ice machine produces ice for a compatible storage bin or dispenser. It lets you select production and storage separately, which is useful when daily demand and the busiest service period require different capacities. Check exactly what the product listing includes and whether the installation needs an adapter or bin control.

Countertop ice makers and dispensers

Explore countertop ice makers for locations where ice is served at counter height. Confirm whether each unit makes ice, dispenses ice made elsewhere, or provides both ice and water. Also check countertop support, refill access, water connections and drainage before choosing a model.

The layout uses dark blue, white, and black with small food and drink photos embedded in the panels.

What to compare

Cube and crescent

For everyday beverage service, compare cube dimensions, shape and the amount of ice your glassware holds. Full cube, half cube and crescent ice are distinct options.

Nugget and cubelet

Consider these styles when texture matters in iced drinks. Nugget hardness and dimensions vary by manufacturer; confirm the exact ice form and dispenser compatibility.

Gourmet cube

Compare gourmet ice for cocktail presentation and drinks where a larger, defined cube suits the glass. Check output as carefully as appearance.

Flake

Consider flake ice for applications such as seafood display that need ice to conform around a product. Confirm that the model fits the intended use.

Ice Maker Models to Compare

Key details

Scotsman UC2024SAX-1

Small cube ice with integrated storage

24-inch-wide undercounter machine; up to 227 lb of ice per day and an 80 lb bin.

Hoshizaki KM-622MAK

Crescent ice from a narrow modular head

22-inch-wide, air-cooled head; manufacturer-rated output up to 673 lb per day. Confirm the compatible bin or dispenser.

Scotsman NH0422AX-1

A modular nugget ice setup

H² nugget ice in a 22-inch-wide head. This ice form is harder than Scotsman’s Original Chewable Nugget ice.

ICETRO IM-0550-AH

Half dice ice for beverage service

30-inch-wide, air-cooled modular head; rated up to 551 lb per day. Plan the storage bin separately.

ITV SPIKA NG 130 A1F

Full dice ice with built-in storage

Approximately 21-inch-wide undercounter cabinet; up to 134 lb per day with approximately 44 lb of storage.

Scotsman CU50PAX-1

Gourmet ice for a compact bar station

Approximately 15-inch-wide cabinet; up to 65 lb per day with a 26 lb bin. Check the pump-equipped model’s drain requirements.

Daily production and stored ice are different measurements. The maximum production figures above are ratings under specified test conditions, not the amount available in the bin at once. Warmer air or incoming water can reduce output; review the manufacturer’s performance chart before sizing your system.

Compare all six brands

Use the brand filter to explore Hoshizaki, Scotsman, Manitowoc, Ice-O-Matic, ICETRO America and ITV Ice Makers. Compare the exact model specifications, warranty terms and installation needs alongside the brand name. A familiar manufacturer may offer several models with very different ice forms and capacities.

Complete the setup with compatible equipment

A complete order may require an ice storage bin, water filtration system, replacement cartridge, adapter, drain pump kit or remote line set. Match accessories to the specific model and installation plan. A machine head and a bin of the same width are not automatically a compatible combination.

The Hoshizaki H9320-51 water filtration system is one option to review for a compatible installation. Confirm the filter specification, water conditions and replacement cartridge before ordering. If you already own a bin or dispenser, send its model number when asking for equipment guidance.

An infographic titled 'Choose Ice Machines for Business Use' with five column panels showing restaurants, cafés and coffee shops, bars and hospitality, hotels, and office/healthcare/industrial spaces. It includes photos of commercial ice machine setups, icons, and explanatory text about considerations for different commercial environments.
Choose Production and Storage for Your Business

Size an ice machine around your busiest service periods and the conditions where it will operate. Daily output shows how much ice a machine can make over 24 hours. Storage capacity shows how much finished ice the bin can hold. Both affect how much ice your team can draw during a rush.

Compare output at the same test conditions

For example, Scotsman lists the UC2024 air-cooled model at 227 lb per day with 70°F air and 50°F water, and 166 lb per day with 90°F air and 70°F water. Those figures describe the same machine under different conditions. Compare like-for-like ratings when narrowing your shortlist.

Measure actual ice use where possible, including beverage service and any other planned use. Note when demand peaks, how much ice must be ready before service and how long the machine has to replenish the bin. A larger bin adds storage, but it does not increase the machine’s production rate.

A promotional infographic for a commercial ice machine buyer checklist, featuring a stainless steel commercial ice machine in the center on a dark background with six colored informational panels around it detailing capacity, fit and installation, utilities, and maintenance.
Check the installation before ordering

  • Space: Measure width, depth and installed height, including legs, utility connections and required service access.

  • Power: Confirm voltage, phase, circuit requirements and whether the model uses a plug or requires hardwiring.

  • Water and drainage: Check the water connection, pressure requirements and drain arrangement. Confirm whether a suitable drain pump is included, optional or unavailable.

  • Ventilation: Follow the model’s intake, exhaust and clearance requirements. An undercounter format does not automatically permit an enclosed installation.

  • Storage and accessories: Confirm bin or dispenser compatibility, adapters, controls, filtration and any separately sold components.

Compare the cooling systems

Air-cooled ice machines release condenser heat into the surrounding air and need the specified airflow. Water-cooled ice machines use water to remove condenser heat, so compare the plumbing requirements and water use for your installation.

A remote condenser system moves condenser heat away from the indoor ice-making area. It requires the correct condenser, line set and installation design. A remote condenser intended for outdoor placement does not mean the ice machine head is approved to stand outdoors.

Plan around the way you serve

For restaurants and cafés, start with the beverage menu and peak drink volume. For bars, compare the ice shape with your glassware and available service space. For hotels and shared refreshment areas, consider how people collect ice and how staff will reach the equipment for cleaning. Keep daily production, storage and access in the same purchasing decision.
