The ITV SPIKA MS500A1FR is a 30"-wide remote air-cooled modular ice machine head that makes up to 441 lb (200 kg) of classic full-dice cube ice per day. Because it uses a separate remote condenser (the RC5), all the compressor heat and fan noise are sent out of the room — keeping the kitchen cooler and quieter — while its larger, slow-melting full-dice cube is the "Classic American" cube preferred for bars and premium beverage service. This is a head-only unit that requires the RC5 remote condenser, a refrigerant line set, and a separate storage bin.

ITV SPIKA MS500A1FR Commercial Ice Machine Head - 441 lb/Day Full Dice Cube, 30 inches Remote Air-Cooled Modular Description

The "R" in this model means remote: instead of rejecting heat into the room like a self-contained machine, the MS500A1FR pairs with an outdoor or remotely mounted RC5 condenser connected by a refrigerant line set. The benefit is a noticeably cooler, quieter ice-making area — about 8,250 BTU/h of heat is moved away from the space — which is ideal where kitchen heat load, ventilation, or noise is a concern. It does require professional refrigeration installation and the matching RC5 condensing unit and line set, which are ordered separately.

Full-dice cubes measure about 1" × 0.9" × 1" (26 × 23 × 26 mm) — a substantial, traditional cube that melts slowly and dilutes drinks less, making it the go-to choice for spirits, cocktails, and upscale fountain and bar service. The machine forms about 200 of these cubes per cycle on a high-efficiency vertical plate evaporator, using ITV's patented smart water distributor that cascades water across the entire evaporator so each cube takes shape cleanly and consistently.

On a 30" footprint, the head pairs with a range of ITV storage bins and is stackable — two heads can sit on one large bin with the optional stacking kit. A smart electronic control board manages every parameter and shows self-diagnostics; panels come off with a single screwdriver for fast service, and the high-resistance AISI 304 stainless steel frame is built for demanding kitchens. The head runs on 115 V single-phase power.

Key Features

  • Remote condenser (RC5): rejects ~8,250 BTU/h of heat and fan noise out of the room for a cooler, quieter kitchen
  • Classic full-dice cube: ~1" × 0.9" × 1" (26 × 23 × 26 mm) — slow-melting, low-dilution "Classic American" cube
  • High output: up to 441 lb (200 kg) of ice per day
  • Approx. 200 cubes per cycle
  • Stackable: two heads on one bin with the optional stacking kit
  • 115 V / 60 Hz / single-phase head power
  • Patented smart water distributor for clean, consistent cubes and better scale resistance
  • High-efficiency vertical plate evaporator
  • Smart electronic control board with self-diagnostics
  • Tool-light service: panels remove with a single screwdriver (EASI — Easy Access for Service & Installation)
  • High-resistance AISI 304 stainless steel frame (STIF — Strong Inox Frame)
  • Ice scoop included
  • NSF and ETL (Intertek) certified

Best For

  • Bars, lounges, and restaurants serving spirits and cocktails where slow-melting, low-dilution cubes matter
  • Kitchens where heat load, ventilation, or noise makes a self-contained machine impractical
  • Sites that can accommodate a remotely mounted condenser and professional refrigeration installation
  • Operations that may scale up later by stacking a second head on the same bin

Shipping Policy

At Ice Maker Supply, we work to make shipping clear, reliable, and easy to track. Most orders are shipped through trusted warehouse, supplier, or carrier partners. Shipping times may vary based on product availability, warehouse location, delivery address, carrier schedule, freight requirements, and order volume.

Standard Delivery

Our estimated delivery time is 4-6 business days for most eligible areas after the order has been processed and shipped.

Some larger ice machines may require freight delivery. Freight shipments may take longer depending on location, carrier availability, and delivery appointment scheduling.

Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed.

Freight delivery may require:

  • A delivery appointment
  • A valid phone number
  • Someone available to receive the shipment

Do not install or use a damaged product before contacting us.

Incorrect or Incomplete Address

Please make sure your shipping address is complete and accurate before placing your order.

Ice Maker Supply is not responsible for delays, failed deliveries, or extra charges caused by:

  • Incorrect address
  • Incomplete address

If your package is returned to the sender, contact us with your order number and correct shipping address.

We will review the situation and help arrange the next step. Reshipping fees may apply.

Pre-Order or Backordered Items

If a product is listed as pre-ordered or backordered, the product page may show the estimated shipping date.

Pre-order and backorder shipping dates are estimates and may change due to supplier production, warehouse availability, or carrier delays.

If the estimated shipping date changes, we will do our best to keep you informed.

Warranty Replacement Shipping

If a warranty replacement is approved, shipping may depend on the manufacturer, supplier, or warranty provider.

Replacement orders may require:

  • Proof of purchase
  • Photos or videos of the issue
  • Troubleshooting steps
  • Return of the original item
  • Supplier or manufacturer approval

A replacement will be shipped only after the required review process is complete.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does “head only” mean for the ITV Ice Makers SPIKA MS500A1FR 30" Remote Air-Cooled Modular Full-Dice Cube Ice Machine?

The SPIKA MS500A1FR includes the ice-making head but not the remote condenser, refrigerant line set, or storage bin. It requires the matching RC5 remote condenser and a separate bin to operate.

How much ice does the ITV Ice Makers SPIKA MS500A1FR 30" remote head produce per day?

It produces up to 441 lb (200 kg) of full-dice cubes per 24 hours under nominal AHRI-style conditions (70°F air / 50°F water). Under ASHRAE 90°F air / 70°F water, it’s rated at about 397 lb (180 kg) per 24 hours.

What are the dimensions and benefits of the full-dice cubes made by this machine?

The cubes are approximately 1" × 0.9" × 1" (26 × 23 × 26 mm). They melt slowly and dilute drinks less, which makes them popular for spirits, cocktails, and premium fountain/bar service.

Why choose a remote modular ice machine (R model) like the SPIKA MS500A1FR?

The R model moves heat rejection out of the room by using an RC5 remote condenser connected by refrigerant line set. This helps keep the kitchen cooler and can reduce noticeable noise in the ice-making area (about 8,250 BTU/h of heat is moved away from the space).

What electrical and installation requirements are needed for the SPIKA MS500A1FR?

The ice head runs on 115 V, 60 Hz, single-phase power. Because it uses a remote condenser system, professional refrigeration installation is required, including the RC5 condenser and correctly sized refrigerant line set.
