ITV Ice Makers IQ 900 A3 27" Air-Cooled Three-Phase Modular Granular (Chip) Ice Machine – 980 lb/Day (Head Only) Description

Wet granular ice — often called chip ice — is soft, moldable, and easy to chew, with a 40–50% residual water content that makes it ideal for chilling drinks, displaying fresh food, and patient care. The IQ 900 A3 produces this ice continuously through a stainless steel auger system and drops it out of an opening in the bottom of the unit into the bin below.

The "A3" designation means this unit is air-cooled (the "A") and runs on three-phase power (the "3"). It delivers the same ice output and efficiency as the single-phase IQ 900 A — 980 lb/day nominal and 4.1 kWh per 100 lb of ice — but connects to a 208–230V three-phase supply instead of single-phase. Three-phase wiring spreads the electrical load more evenly and is standard in many larger kitchens, production facilities, and industrial buildings, so the A3 is the model to specify when the site already has three-phase service. Being air-cooled, it sheds heat into the surrounding air and uses very little water (4.9 gal per 100 lb of ice), which keeps installation simple wherever there is adequate ventilation.

Built with an AISI 304 stainless steel body and a high-efficiency evaporator with no gaskets or seals, the IQ 900 A3 is designed for long service life and simple maintenance. It uses a straightforward electromechanical control system with an on/off lighted rocker switch on the front panel, and its Tropicalized (T-Class) design lets it keep producing in high ambient temperatures.

Key Features

  • Three-phase power: 208–230V / 60Hz / 3-phase — ideal for facilities wired for three-phase service

Shipping Policy

At Ice Maker Supply, we work to make shipping clear, reliable, and easy to track. Most orders are shipped through trusted warehouse, supplier, or carrier partners. Shipping times may vary based on product availability, warehouse location, delivery address, carrier schedule, freight requirements, and order volume.

Standard Delivery

Our estimated delivery time is 4-6 business days for most eligible areas after the order has been processed and shipped.

Some larger ice machines may require freight delivery. Freight shipments may take longer depending on location, carrier availability, and delivery appointment scheduling.

Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed.

Order Processing

Orders are usually processed during regular business days, Monday through Friday.

Processing may take longer during:

  • Holidays
  • High order volume
  • Supplier delays
  • Payment review
  • Address verification
  • Product backorders
  • Freight scheduling

If there is a delay with your order, we will do our best to keep you updated.

Shipping Confirmation and Tracking

Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your order and tracking details.

You may be able to see:

  • Order status
  • Carrier name
  • Tracking number
  • Estimated delivery date
  • Shipment updates

Tracking may not update immediately after the label is created. In some cases, the package may already be moving even if the tracking page has not refreshed.

If your tracking has not updated for more than 5 business days, please contact us so we can help check the shipment status.

Multiple Shipments

Some orders may ship in multiple packages, especially if your order includes:

  • Bundled products
  • Accessories
  • Replacement parts
  • Items from different warehouses
  • Products from different suppliers

If your order ships separately, you may receive more than one tracking number.

If your address is outside our available shipping area, your order may be canceled and refunded.

Expedited Shipping

Expedited shipping is not available at this time.

Because many ice makers are large, heavy, or shipped through supplier warehouses, faster shipping options may not be available for every product.

Freight Delivery

Some commercial or larger ice machines may ship by freight carrier instead of standard parcel delivery.

Freight delivery may require:

  • A delivery appointment
  • A valid phone number
  • Someone available to receive the shipment
  • Inspection before signing
  • Extra time for scheduling

Please inspect freight shipments carefully before accepting delivery. If the item or packaging appears damaged, note the damage with the carrier and contact us as soon as possible.

If possible, take clear photos of the packaging and product before moving or installing the item.

Damaged Packages

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us immediately.

Send us:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the damaged packaging
  • Photos of the damaged product
  • A short description of the issue
  • Delivery receipt notes, if available

Damage claims are easier to process when reported quickly. Late damage reports may limit our ability to file a carrier or supplier claim.

Do not install or use a damaged product before contacting us.

Incorrect or Incomplete Address

Please make sure your shipping address is complete and accurate before placing your order.

Ice Maker Supply is not responsible for delays, failed deliveries, or extra charges caused by:

  • Incorrect address
  • Missing apartment, suite, or unit number
  • Wrong ZIP code
  • Unreachable phone number
  • Delivery restrictions at the location

If an order is returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address, additional shipping charges may apply before the item can be reshipped.

Can I Change My Delivery Address?

If your order has not shipped yet, contact us as soon as possible. We may be able to update the shipping address before fulfillment begins.

Once an order has shipped or is in transit, we usually cannot change the delivery address.

For freight shipments, address changes may not be possible after carrier pickup.

Returned to Sender

A package may be returned to the sender due to:

  • Incorrect address
  • Incomplete address
  • Failed delivery attempts
  • Refused delivery
  • Carrier access issues
  • Unclaimed shipment

If your package is returned to the sender, contact us with your order number and correct shipping address.

We will review the situation and help arrange the next step. Reshipping fees may apply.

Pre-Order or Backordered Items

If a product is listed as pre-ordered or backordered, the product page may show the estimated shipping date.

Pre-order and backorder shipping dates are estimates and may change due to supplier production, warehouse availability, or carrier delays.

If the estimated shipping date changes, we will do our best to keep you informed.

Warranty Replacement Shipping

If a warranty replacement is approved, shipping may depend on the manufacturer, supplier, or warranty provider.

Replacement orders may require:

  • Proof of purchase
  • Photos or videos of the issue
  • Troubleshooting steps
  • Return of the original item
  • Supplier or manufacturer approval

A replacement will be shipped only after the required review process is complete.

Lost or Stalled Shipments

If your tracking shows no movement for more than 5 business days, contact us.

We may contact the carrier, warehouse, or supplier to check the shipment status.

If a package is confirmed lost, we will review available options based on the carrier investigation and supplier rules.
