ITV IQ 900 A — High-Volume Modular Wet Granular (Chip) Ice

The ITV IQ 900 A is an air-cooled, modular granular ice machine head that produces up to 980 lb (445 kg) of wet granular ice every 24 hours. Wet granular “chip” ice is soft, moist, and easy to chew, holding roughly 40–50% residual water content — it packs and conforms well, cools fast, and is a favorite for fountain and blended beverages, healthcare and patient ice, salad bars, and retail ice bagging. Because the IQ 900 is a modular head with no bin of its own, it pairs with a separate ITV storage bin or dispenser, so you can size storage to demand and scale capacity as you grow.

Ice is produced by a stainless steel auger with a resilient coating built to maximize lifespan, driven by a powerful speed reducer mounted on top and fed by what ITV calls the most efficient evaporator on the market — a gasket-free, seal-free design for lower energy consumption and higher ice production. An electromechanical control system with a lighted on/off rocker switch on the front panel keeps daily operation simple, and ice drops out cleanly through the opening on the bottom of the unit.

Durability and serviceability are built in. The STIF structure and AISI 304 stainless steel body stand up to demanding environments, front ventilation allows flexible placement, the machine is tropicalized (T-Class) for high-ambient operation, and EASI delivers easy access for service and installation.
