Wet granular ice — often called chip ice — is soft, moldable, and easy to chew, with a 40–50% residual water content that makes it ideal for chilling drinks, displaying fresh food, and patient care. The IQ 1300 A3 produces this ice continuously through a stainless steel auger system and drops it out of an opening in the bottom of the unit into the bin below.
The "A3" designation means this unit is air-cooled (the "A") and runs on three-phase power (the "3"). It delivers the same high output as the single-phase IQ 1300 A — up to 1,430 lb of ice per day — but connects to a 208–230V three-phase supply instead of single-phase.
