Scotsman B530P 30-Inch Rotocast Ice Storage Bin - 536 lb Capacity Description

Scotsman B530P - Durable Polyethylene Modular Bin with 536 lb Ice Storage Capacity

The Scotsman B530P is a 30-inch-wide modular ice storage bin with an application capacity of up to 536 lb of ice. Its narrower footprint makes it a practical foundation for compatible 30-inch modular ice machines and for approved 22-inch heads installed with the correct Scotsman bin-top kit.

The durable rotocast polyethylene exterior is lightweight, corrosion resistant and suited to regular commercial use. Inside, a sanitary polyethylene liner resists scratches and scuffs from normal scoop contact. Pressure-bonded polyurethane insulation helps protect the stored ice supply between production cycles and periods of high demand.

A spring-loaded door with hidden hinges provides convenient bin access. The built-in scoop holder keeps the included scoop organized, while the removable baffle can be taken out without tools for cleaning. A recessed 3/4-inch NPT drain fitting supports flexible drain routing during installation.

The B530P is an ice storage accessory and does not produce ice. The separately selected modular head determines ice type, production, electrical service and cooling requirements.

Scotsman B530P 30-Inch Rotocast Ice Storage Bin - 536 lb Capacity Resources

Scotsman B530P 30-Inch Rotocast Ice Storage Bin - 536 lb Capacity Buying Guide

Quick Answer: The Scotsman B530P is a 30-inch-wide rotocast plastic storage bin rated for 536 lb of application capacity. The ice-making head is separate. Choose it when you need more reserve than B330P within the same published cabinet width and depth, and the taller system fits. Confirm the head and any adapter from the exact machine’s installation manual.

Who should consider this product

A bar, restaurant or hospitality operation may benefit when ice demand arrives faster than the head can replenish it during a rush. The bin stores earlier production for later use. It cannot increase the head’s daily output, so also check whether overnight and off-peak production can rebuild the reserve before the next service.

The main buying decision

The closest capacity comparison is B330P. Both published cabinets are 30 inches wide and 34 inches deep. B530P stores 192 lb more by the application rating, about 56% more, but its cabinet is 13 inches taller. At the checked prices, the bin difference is $118. That may make the larger reserve attractive if the complete system’s height and staff access remain suitable.

Suppose the busiest service consumes 420 lb, while the head makes an illustrative 120 lb during that period. The arithmetic opening reserve is at least 300 lb before melt or any operating margin. A 344 lb bin leaves much less nominal reserve above that figure than a 536 lb bin. This example shows the method; it does not validate the demand assumption or guarantee accessible storage.

Installation and fit checks

Plan a nominal 50-inch bin height with 6-inch legs, then add the selected head and adapter. Leave 6 inches behind the bin for utilities and follow the head’s separate ventilation requirements. The drainage system must accommodate meltwater as well as any machine drain routed under the installation plan. Have the installer verify elevation, connections and local requirements before delivery.

Compare the correct arrangement

The reviewed MC0322X-through-MC1030X manual lists direct fits on B530P for its designated 30-inch cuber families. The designated 22-inch cuber families use KBT27. Direct fit means the application table does not require that top adapter; it does not remove mounting, leveling, sealing, bin-control or utility requirements.

Plan the complete purchase

The removable baffle, cleanable liner and scoop holder support routine access. Staff still need to sanitize surfaces and the scoop. Compare the installed package, including the approved head, top kit if required, filtration and receiving services. Review the current three-year commercial parts-and-labor warranty and confirm the supplied leg configuration and finish.

Use our bin sizing guide to organize peak demand, stored reserve and recovery time before requesting a complete system quote.

Manufacturer reference: Matching specification sheet.

Head compatibility: Elite cuber application table, printed page 3. Confirm the exact equipment revision.

Buyer questions

Is B530P a self-contained ice machine?

No. It is a storage bin, and the modular ice head is sold separately.

How does it differ from B330P?

Its application capacity is 192 lb higher and its cabinet is 13 inches taller, with the same published width and depth.

Does a 22-inch cuber need an adapter?

The designated 22-inch families in the reviewed manual use KBT27 on B530P. Check the exact head revision.

Shipping Policy

Ice Maker Supply ships commercial ice makers, ice storage bins, dispensers, filters, accessories, and related equipment through manufacturers, authorized distributors, fulfillment facilities, and parcel or freight carriers. The following terms explain delivery estimates, shipping coverage, freight service, and how to receive an order safely.

1. Where We Ship

We currently ship to eligible street addresses in the 48 contiguous United States. We do not offer shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, other U.S. territories, APO/FPO/DPO military addresses, international destinations, or P.O. boxes.

Delivery to rural, remote, construction, or limited-access locations may require extra coordination or may not be available for certain equipment. If a location cannot be serviced, we will contact you to review the options, including cancellation and refund when appropriate.

2. Free Standard Shipping & Additional Charges

Free standard shipping is available for qualifying products and eligible delivery addresses within the contiguous United States, as shown on the product page or at checkout. If a product does not qualify, the applicable shipping charge will be shown during checkout or in a written quotation before you complete the purchase.

Free standard shipping does not automatically include the services below, which may incur additional charges when requested or required:

  • Liftgate unloading when the receiving location does not have a suitable loading dock or forklift.
  • Inside delivery, room placement, unpacking, assembly, or installation.
  • Residential, remote-area, limited-access, special-appointment, or other carrier accessorial services.
  • Redelivery, storage, or address-reassignment charges caused by delivery access or receiving issues.

We will explain required additional shipping services or charges before arranging them and obtain your approval when applicable. Fees or exclusions shown in a product-specific quotation take precedence over general offers.

3. Order Processing & Estimated Delivery

Estimated standard delivery: 5–7 business days for eligible, in-stock products under normal shipping conditions.

This 5–7-business-day estimate is measured from order confirmation and successful payment verification (whichever occurs later) to expected delivery. It includes ordinary processing and transportation; processing time is not added again on top of this estimate.

Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding major U.S. holidays. Orders placed outside normal business hours may begin processing on the next business day. Shipment and arrival can vary with product availability, warehouse location, freight schedules, and destination.

The 5–7-business-day estimate does not apply to backorders, special orders, made-to-order items, products with a longer published lead time, or shipments requiring exceptional freight arrangements. Large freight shipments and remote destinations may take longer. Any different timeline shown on an individual product page or provided in writing for your order takes precedence.

Delivery dates are estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates. Please schedule equipment installers only after delivery and inspection.

4. Parcel Shipping & Freight Delivery

Smaller items may arrive by parcel carrier. Larger or heavier ice machines, bins, and commercial equipment often ship on pallets through a freight carrier.

Unless a different service is confirmed in writing, standard freight delivery is generally to an accessible truckside, curbside, or receiving/loading area. It does not include carrying equipment inside the property, placement in a kitchen or storage room, unpacking, disposal of packaging, or installation.

The receiving location must be accessible to the assigned carrier and must have an appropriate unloading plan. Let us know before shipment if you do not have a loading dock or forklift.

5. Liftgate, Residential & Limited-Access Delivery

A liftgate is a platform used to lower certain freight items from the truck to ground level. It may be necessary when the receiving location lacks a suitable loading dock or forklift. Liftgate service must be requested before dispatch and is subject to carrier availability, weight, size, and any applicable fee.

Residential addresses, schools, churches, construction sites, storage sites, and other restricted-access locations may have special freight requirements. Not all shipments can be delivered by liftgate. Contact us before ordering if your unloading conditions are uncertain.

6. Delivery Appointments & Receiving Requirements

Some freight carriers will call to schedule delivery. Please provide an accurate phone number and a receiving contact who can be available during the carrier’s delivery window.

Delivery windows depend on the carrier and are not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed. If the carrier cannot deliver because the recipient is unavailable, the location is inaccessible, or suitable unloading arrangements are missing, redelivery or storage fees may apply.

7. Shipping Confirmation & Tracking

We will provide shipping confirmation and available tracking details after the order has been handed to the shipping carrier and the information becomes available. Freight shipments may use a PRO number or other freight reference instead of a parcel tracking number.

Tracking information may take time to update after dispatch. If your shipment shows no movement for more than five business days, contact us so we can investigate with the carrier or shipping warehouse.

8. Orders Arriving in Multiple Shipments

An ice machine head, bin, dispenser, water filter, accessory, or replacement part may ship separately, especially when the products come from different facilities or suppliers. Each shipment may have its own tracking number and arrival date.

9. Inspecting Freight at Delivery

Commercial equipment should be inspected before signing the carrier’s delivery receipt whenever reasonably possible. We recommend that you:

1.  Confirm the correct number of cartons or pallets and look for missing items.

2.  Examine the packaging for tears, punctures, crushed corners, moisture, or broken pallets.

3.  Check accessible equipment surfaces for visible damage, and photograph any concerns.

4.  Write clear notes describing visible damage or shortages on the carrier’s delivery receipt before signing.

5.  Retain the receipt, photographs, and original packaging until the equipment is checked.

If there is serious visible damage, document it and contact us immediately for guidance. Do not accept a badly damaged shipment without noting the condition on the receipt. An unqualified signature may make the freight claim process more difficult, but does not override applicable legal rights.

10. Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Products

If equipment arrives damaged, an item is missing, or a different model is delivered, contact us promptly, preferably within one business day of delivery or as soon as the issue is discovered. This is a request for fast reporting to help preserve carrier and supplier claim evidence, not a waiver of your rights.

Please send your order number, model details, photos of the product and packaging, a description of the problem, delivery receipt notes (if available), and the serial number if relevant.

Do not install or use visibly damaged equipment before contacting us. Keep the packaging. We will coordinate with the relevant shipping, warehouse, or manufacturing partner to investigate and arrange an appropriate resolution.

11. Delays, Backorders & Special Orders

Inventory, manufacturer production, payment verification, holiday schedules, weather, and carrier operations can affect fulfillment. If we determine that an order cannot be shipped within the applicable communicated shipment timeframe, we will notify you and offer the shipment-delay, cancellation, and refund options required by applicable law.

We will not substitute a materially different model without your approval. For backordered or made-to-order items, we will communicate the available lead-time information before proceeding when possible.

12. Address Changes, Redelivery & Returned Shipments

Please confirm your complete shipping address, business name, suite number, ZIP code, telephone number, and any receiving restrictions at checkout. Contact us immediately if a correction is needed. Changes after dispatch may be unavailable or may incur a carrier reconsignment fee.

Returned-to-sender orders or refused deliveries may require review and additional transportation charges when the issue is caused by an incorrect address, unavailable recipient, or customer-requested change. We will explain the available options, subject to the order’s circumstances and applicable law.

13. Lost Shipments or Orders Marked Delivered

If tracking shows “Delivered” but the equipment has not arrived, contact us as soon as possible. We will review the shipment record, carrier proof of delivery, delivery address, and any signature information with the carrier or fulfillment partner.

If a shipment is confirmed lost or misdelivered, we will work toward a suitable resolution, including replacement or refund as appropriate under the order circumstances and applicable law.

14. Expedited Shipping

Expedited shipping is not currently offered as a standard checkout service. If you have an urgent project, contact us before ordering so we can check current stock and provide a realistic shipping estimate.

15. Cancellations, Refused Deliveries & Returns

For cancellations or voluntary returns, please review our Refund Policy before shipping any item back. Most eligible unused and uninstalled products may qualify for a return request within 30 days of delivery, subject to authorization and the conditions stated in that policy.

If a shipment is refused for a reason unrelated to shipping damage, an incorrect item, or our error, applicable return freight or handling charges may apply. Please contact us before refusing a shipment whenever possible.

Refund Policy: https://icemakersupply.com/policies/refund-policy

16. Warranty Replacement Shipping

Warranty replacement shipments, when approved, are coordinated in accordance with the relevant manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty process. Supporting documents, photos, troubleshooting, serial number information, or return of the original item may be required. Replacement delivery timing will be confirmed when the claim is approved.

17. Contact Ice Maker Supply

For shipping questions, freight arrangements, order status, delivery damage, or tracking support, please contact us and include your order number if you already placed an order.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much ice can the Scotsman B530P store?

The Scotsman B530P can store up to 536 lbs of ice based on its application-capacity rating, with an AHRI-certified storage capacity of 420 lbs. Its high-capacity design makes it suitable for restaurants, bars, cafés, hotels, and commercial foodservice operations requiring dependable ice storage.

Does the Scotsman B530P produce ice?

No. The Scotsman B530P is a commercial ice storage bin, not an ice-making machine. It must be paired with a compatible modular ice maker to store freshly produced ice. Its polyurethane foam insulation helps reduce heat transfer and preserve stored ice during daily foodservice operations.

What are the dimensions and installation requirements of the Scotsman B530P?

The Scotsman B530P measures 30 inches wide, 34 inches deep, and 44 inches high, excluding its 6-inch legs. The overall height with standard legs is approximately 50 inches. It features a recessed 3/4-inch NPT drain connection and requires approximately 6 inches of rear clearance for utility connections. Proper drainage and a compatible modular ice machine configuration are required.

Which ice machines are compatible with the Scotsman B530P?

The Scotsman B530P is designed for compatible 30-inch modular ice machine heads, including select Scotsman Prodigy series models. It can also accommodate certain 22-inch ice machine heads when installed with the appropriate bin-top adapter. Customers should verify model compatibility and required mounting accessories before purchasing.

What warranty comes with the Scotsman B530P ice storage bin?

The Scotsman B530P includes a 3-year limited parts and labor warranty covering all components for qualifying commercial installations. Warranty eligibility and coverage are subject to Scotsman's manufacturer terms, conditions, and exclusions.
